Are we ungrateful without realising?

We do not express gratitude nearly as often as we should to.

It seems as though we are caught in an endless cycle of wanting more and are never content with what we have. Our lives are now controlled by an insatiable desire for more, better, and faster things. Though it’s not entirely our fault, it is difficult to pause and smell the roses in today’s society.

It’s like a beam of sunshine breaking through the clouds when we stop to enjoy the little things, like a hot cup of coffee on a cool morning or a kind smile from a complete stranger. But unfortunately, we frequently overlook adding this seasoning to our lives.

Thanks to social media, we have mastered the art of comparing ourselves to others.

When we watch the highlights of other people’s lives, we can’t help but feel insignificant. We overlook the fact that what we see on Facebook or Instagram is only a small portion of someone’s reality that has been expertly edited and filtered. It isn’t actual life.

We spend our time chasing after what we don’t have rather than focusing on and appreciating what we do have.

We’ve all experienced the “grass is greener on the other side” illusion, where we think that someone else’s life is superior to our own…
