I’ve been motivated to write on Medium again by this quote. Anxiety has been holding me back for months, but I believe that by telling my experience, others will be able to better manage their own lives.
What have I been doing? We’re already half way through the year, I see that I haven’t accomplished any of the goals I set for myself.
Am I going crazy? Absolutely.
Why do we set such high standards for ourselves when we know we may never meet them?
I’m setting a goal for myself this month to write more consistently. I want to look back at my year so far and see what I’ve really done as August comes to an end. Here are a few of my goals:
Get my driver’s license
This has been so hard to grasp. It’s simply that I’m being lazy, not that I find it difficult. It’s important having a licence since it makes life so much simpler.
Here are some other goals:
- Prioritise happiness and health
- Maintain kindness and gentleness
- Ensure health and happiness for my loved ones
- Put myself first
- Be kind, gentle and calm
