From London to NYC in Just Five Minutes
A big surprise awaited me today. In some strange way, the Financial District of London had become a miniature version of New York City…
I thought I woke up in London?
The situation was strange but intriguing.
There were street vendors selling New York-style pizza and hotdogs, and the subway stations were decorated with the recognisable black-and-white signs.
They had American street names like Broadway and Fifth Avenue instead of British ones. Yellow school buses and taxis were everywhere, and the American flag was flying.
I’ve always wanted to go to New York City and travel throughout the country.
Today felt like a peek of how American culture, with its TV and cuisine, has such a significant impact on the world.
Even more shocking is the fact that filming for faux New York City scenes frequently takes place here. I must say, it’s a fantastic collection. I had a rather normal day, but this unexpected change gave it an intriguing twist.
Who would have anticipated that London could change so drastically into New York City?
