Dear Diary,
What a lovely day this has been! The type of day with a lovely rush of productivity and the comforting company of my best friend.
I met up with her at “Pure Café” at around 14:30, which is our all-time favourite place. For us, it serves as a kind of second home where we can share our creativity and enjoy good coffee. We took our lovely laptops, which were loaded with inspiration and endless ideas.
The weather was just perfect outside, it was the type of fresh autumn day that makes you feel alive. We chose to cool off with some iced coffees because the recent weather in London has been so unusually sunny and hot. “London” and “hot” … you never hear those words together (shocking I know).
She was already sat near the window when I entered the café, and she grinned when she noticed me. When friends get together for a day of teamwork and shared goals, that moment is certainly something to appreciate.
Mark, the barista, was overjoyed to see us. He waved at us and gave us a warm smile, like we had caught up with an old friend. He quickly made our iced coffees using the exact same care and attention to detail which made this place feel like a second home. He knew our order off by heart, just as he always did. Our day was made much more enjoyable by Mark’s kind presence.
We got our laptops ready and started typing, entering into the worlds of our own stories.
